About Us
Our Mission/Philosophy
The mission of Teddy Tumblebus is to promote a fun, unique, and safe way for children to participate in physical
fitness. We believe that every child can be proud of their accomplishments in our encouraging atmosphere that
emphasizes physical education, and social and emotional growth. Our reward is witnessing the happiness and confidence
in the children when they accomplish something new.
About Teddy Tumblebus
Teddy Tumblebus is a full sized school bus that has been converted into a safe and fun gymnasium with the following
equipment:
- padded floor and walls
- rings
- monkey bars
- zip line
- uneven bar
- slide
- blue mountain
- vaulting board

- octagon
- 2-step stairs
- mini trampoline
- balance beam
- bouldering wall
- balls, lummi sticks, parachute
- and more!

Our weekly tumbling classes are set to lively music and are conducted under video surveillance inside our colorful
bus. Our certified instructors teach the children basic gymnastic routines with bi-weekly lesson plans featuring
varying equipment and themes. This is a unique and fun-filled way to provide the physical fitness that is so important
for your child's development!
Weekly Classes
Our goal is to enhance each child's physical, social, and emotional growth through our fitness and tumbling program.
Our exercises are designed to build coordination, flexibility, and strength, while improving gross motor skills
and rhythm. Each child will learn a simplified form of basic gymnastic techniques in a non-competitive, creative
environment.
Child's Rewards
Children will develop their coordination and strength through our fitness program, but they will also learn to
listen and follow directions. They will gain self confidence and build self esteem by setting and reaching fitness
and tumbling goals. Each child will receive a progress chart reporting the skills attempted and achieved. Each
child will receive special rewards just for participating, including an end-of-year certificate with a photograph
of him/her in a favorite skill position.
Parents' Rewards
Parents can feel assured that Teddy Tumblebus has a total commitment to safety, personal care, and encouragement.
Above all, we want to make sure that your child has fun while developing new skills, and that they leave with
a smile on their face. Also, parents save on valuable family evening time because the classes are held during
the day at your child's school or daycare!
We are always available by phone or email if you have any questions about the program. At Teddy Tumblebus, we're
parents too! We want the best for your child.
Certification
Teddy Tumblebus is an active Member Club of USA Gymnastics (USAG).
Our certifications are:
- USAG Safety Certification
- Patti Komara's Tumblebear for Preschoolers
- CPR and Basic First Aid Training through the American Red Cross
Teddy Tumblebus is fully insured to operate in the state of Maryland
Teddy Tumblebus is part of a national Tumblebus program that has been operating since 1987 and currently has over
250 buses operating throughout the United States.
